In that location are 3 letters on the barrel adjacent to the S/N, the three letters represent the barrel examination fire date code:

The get-go alphabetic character is for the month:

Fifty...Feb
North...Mar
B...Apr
S...May
Z...Jun
G...Jul
P...Aug
I...Sep
C...Oct
5...Nov
A...Dec

The last two messages are for the year:

W...1
K...two
R...3
F...iv
M...five
H...6
Y...7
T...8
D...9

Y'all're welcome

Information technology's a niggling hard to read. My came back as december 208 which I recollect means December ii, 2008? That's probably almost correct, doesn''t seem like I've had information technology 10 years, simply maybe... And then too, it's a gen 3 and the gen 4's were out.

I think you might exist using the offset 4 of the serial number instead of the three character appointment lawmaking.
The only US delivered, date-coded, Gen 3s that I'1000 enlightened of that had a engagement coded barrel was some 19s that were brought into the US in belatedly 2008/2009. The code on these were on the top of the barrel.
I know the United states of america delivered date codes stopped somewhere between 1989 and 1990. These before ones take the code on the side of the barrel in this order SN... proof marks ... date codes.

Edit: I plant some documentation the codes stopped in The states destined guns in Nov 1989.

Try searching on the first three-4 digits of your serial number here.
https://world wide web.stakhaus.com/

Look in the box and meet if you lot have a fired case in a small envelope. It will be dated.

Hmmm... okay, now I'm dislocated. I was going by the AT on top of the slide, in the same location I saw some sample appointment codes. The serial number starts with VNN. But I found the examination trounce case in the box and it'south dated 7/23/2013, and the receipt as well in the box is dated is dated February 2014.
